The Early Years

Born in Missouri to a breeder forty two years ago (in cat years), Perry was not considered optimal material for cat shows. However, on his first trip to Amarillo, Texas a kind family

recognized his potential as a leader and removed him from the life of constant travel and judgement he had been living. He found a loving and supportive home in Mouskin, Texas with his new human mom and dad and two cats and two dogs.

After a stint in the military in the famous "Rat Patrol", Perry joined NASA as an astronaut and a specialist in the effects to non-human biological entities in space. He achieved great success in that program with the discovery that cats do indeed land on their feet, even when weightless.

Politics

Perry has always been interested in politics and has been an adviser to several presidents including Nixon, Ford, Carter and Clinton. He has also made friends with many celebrities after being invited on their programs.

Perry stands up for his beliefs, defending the Dixie Chicks, for example, when they were under the gun for exercising their right to free speech. His candid support demonstrated his willingness to stand out in front for what is right.
A popular guest on many talk shows, Perry has visited Ellen, The View and other popular programs. His ready wit and cuddly cuteness make him a natural confidant with the ladies.

Although Perry's current campaign kicked off in April of last year with a lengthy tour of Iowa, the official announcement was made on May 3rd, 2007. Perhaps coincidentally, President Bush felt pressured to sign into law the Animal Fighting Prohibition Enforcement Act that same day. Perry's supporters, though, claim that his announcement for candidacy spurred the activity as a Republican attempt to match his already growing popularity.
During the last year Perry has gone head to head with Barak Obama. Evidence points to the possibility that Obama campaigners are lifting concepts and ideas from Perry's own blogs. Some of Obama's statements have been uttered nearly word for word after they were published on Perry's website

In what little spare time he has now, Perry enjoys being a patron of the arts. He has his own online art gallery supporting cat artists and artists who paint cats. Occasionally, when time allows, Perry keeps a paw in with his watercolors. Unfortunately, he has had little time for that lately.
Perry is working with other artist to raise money for animal rescue shelters across the USA.
